Global Crossing will acquire a 50% interest in Level 3's trans-Atlantic fiber optic cable, expected to be complete in September. Global Crossing will operate two of the four fiber pairs on the cable. In turn, Level 3 will acquire capacity on Global Crossing's trans-Atlantic cable.
