CABLE MERGER CONCERNS
The TRA asked the FCC not to approve the AT&T/MediaOne and AOL/Time Warner mergers without enforceable commitments to open their cable systems to unaffiliated ISPs. The TRA wants all ISPs to be able to market to all customers of a cable provider, all cable providers to unbundle Internet transport and Internet portal management services, and all customers to enjoy non-degraded access from unaffiliated ISPs.
