Even regular Telephony readers could become just a bit mystified amid the seemingly unending rollouts and mergers in this ever-growing and constantly changing industry.

Once again, Telephony's annual Buyers' Guide is a useful reference tool for keeping track of what's happening in telecommunications. It identifies manufacturers and equipment providers in all areas of the industry. Color-coded tabs divide the Buyers' Guide into 12 sections that cover equipment categories such as cable and video, wireless, network management, transmission and central office.

A table of contents introduces every section, giving page numbers for each listing.

At the back of the issue is a directory of manufacturers listed in index form. Here readers can find the company name, address, contact name and phone number for every equipment manufacturer listed in the Buyers' Guide.
