As a hosted communications provider, AccessLine already has launched services with OnSite Access, including advanced voice mail, mobility services, conference calling and Web access to messaging. Now OnSite Access' small to medium-sized business customers are the beneficiaries.
“They enable us to reach our audience and help with positioning the services from a customer care standpoint as well,” said Greg Thomas, vice president of product marketing at OnSite Access.
While the relationship does not necessarily include back-end service support, it can be assumed that AccessLine will step up to the plate because OnSite Access is overwhelmed with certain responsibilities, Thomas said. “AccessLine is helping us differentiate ourselves in the BLEC space,” he said.
OnSite Access has similar partnerships and intends to continue seeking other opportunities that help it offer other value-added services quickly, Thomas added.
Forging relationships with companies such as AccessLine could be a perfect alternative to the status quo of working with big vendors and investing capital in premises-based equipment, says Lambert Jemley, vice president of marketing with AccessLine.
“There is a need for what we do because of the importance of a company's speed to market and capital expense,” he said.
It took only a few weeks for OnSite Access to offer its unified communications services, Jemley added.
