Airspan Networks will provide fixed wireless DSL to Bell Telecommunications Philippines as it expands its network to the greater Manila area, the companies said. BT Philippines is using fixed broadband wireless gear to deliver voice, high-speed Internet access and VPNs to high-end residential and various business markets.

Broadwing Communications and Telseon recently struck a deal that gives Broadwing access to Telseon's metropolitan connectivity. The goal of the partnership is to offer Broadwing customers coast-to-coast optical gigabit Ethernet service. The deal reflects the growing trend to use partnerships rather than buildouts to gain more connectivity.
