Telephony readers overwhelmingly expect Tellabs to benefit most from the Bells' current interest in Gigabit passive optical networking, for which three Bells reportedly issued a request for information in recent weeks. Though Alcatel recently announced a GPON product, Tellabs, at press time, had not.
