AT&T now has about 18,000 U-verse subscribers in service, it said today. The company claimed about 3,000 subscribers at the end of last year.

After bringing the service to 11 markets last year, AT&T expanded U-Verse to Milwaukee, Kansas and other new markets in the first quarter. Earlier this month, AT&T announced its availability to more than 200,000 homes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The company expects to launch service in Los Angeles “in the coming weeks,” it said today.
