The uOne products allow carriers to deliver integrated unified messaging services, rather than separate silo messaging offerings. Voice, fax, e-mail, SMS, MMS and video messages all can be stored in one mailbox that can be accessed via wireline telephone, IP telephone, mobile handset or PC.
The newly introduced video call completion and video mail functionality provides subscribers with functions to record, deposit, retrieve and play video calls. In addition, operators will be able to offer new services including video streaming, video portals and personal stores for large video files that exceed the limited memory available in current devices.
“You are starting to see demand for these new messaging services now wherever you have the advanced mobile data networks,” said Ray Vinson, product manager for North America wireless networks at LogicaCMG.
LogicaCMG’s open standard, IP-based architecture is both device and network agnostic, enabling operators to maximize their existing investment in IP infrastructure by adding applications from the uOne solution to existing e-mail and access platforms.
