The global carrier will lease local loops from local providers and offer service level agreements directly to enterprise customers. The service level agreements include end-to-end network availability at 99.9%, four-hour mean time to repair, 24-hour international mean time to repair and installation within 5 business days after local loop acceptance.

Global Crossing Senior Voice Product Marketing Manager Debra Swann said enterprises with geographically dispersed locations will appreciate the ability to do business with one carrier instead of several. “It’s one-stop shopping,” she said. “They get everything from us.”

Global Crossing claims to have six enterprise customers so far for the new service, four of which are in the United States, and two of which have international locations.

The new voice services will also include a “loyalty voucher” program, which will give credits (in amounts varying according to each service contract) to customers who have stayed with Global Crossing for 12 months.
