AT&T lands deal with News Corp

AT&T today announced it has won a seven-year $150 million contract to provide media conglomerate News Corp with local, long-distance and international data services.

As part of the deal--which expands upon an existing agreement--AT&T will build out News Corp’s communications infrastructure, adding dedicated and switched local access to its U.S. sites, provide private line, frame relay and services and supply international long distance and Internet access. News Corp is based in Australia, but has several offices in the U.S. centered around it’s domestic holdings: Fox Entertainment, the New York Post and HarperCollins Publishing. -- Kevin Fitchard
