Just this week, T-Mobile faced heavy criticism when it was revealed that the terms of service on its “unlimited” data land on the just-announced G1 Android-based device actually had a 1Gb per month cap. T-Mobile removed the cap on Thursday – though whether it, or other mobile operators, will be able to offer unrestrained access in the long run remains to be seen.

“I haven’t talked to any operator that says they have plenty of bandwidth,” Camiant’s Fuller said, “at least in the past year.”
