KT will begin to offer Mega TV to its Megapass broadband Internet service subscribers nationwide. Thus far, it has been offering test services in Seoul and nearby areas only.

“The Mega TV service is now available for 6.5 million Megapass customers all around the country,” Lee Young-hui, chief of KT’s media business, told The Korea Times. “As the product is now ready, we will launch promotion campaigns so customers can distinguish it from traditional TV.”

The company anticipates drawing 300,000 subscribers this year and hopes to increase the number to 1 million next year.

In addition to VOD programming services, Mega TV will offer interactive TV services, including an electronic program guide and many program genres.
