After recent implementations supporting primarily residential customer ordering and billing for Sprint, ITC^DeltaCom, Qwest, Southwestern Bell Video Services and small cable providers, Telution will provide its COMX OSS software to Melville, N.Y.-based InfoHighway to serve its business voice and data customers.

“With InfoHighway, we’ve proven that we can support the kind of complex billing requirements driven by business customers, such as hierarchical billing, multi-line ordering and cross account volume discounting,” said John Konczal, vice president of product marketing for Telution.

InfoHighway offers local and long distance telephone service, high speed Internet services and network design services to businesses in the Northeast as well as Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Texas. The company acquired assets of Lightyear Communications in February of this year.

Telution replaced both an outsourced and an in-house billing system and two vendor supplied OSS solutions at InfoHighway. “InfoHighway came to Telution not only to improve their software capabilities, but because it made more financial sense to convert both systems into one,” Konczal said.

Telution also announced this week enhancements to its COMX Collection Management solution, which include Microsoft .NET applications for customer credit and payment. The Collections Decision Manager provides a structured analysis of customer behavior and helps determine if a customer is worth acquiring. The Payment Arrangement Tool uses a rule system to suggest payment arrangements based on a customer’s payment history and other credit factors.
