Both providers deployed TeleGea’s VoIP Delivery Management solution to manage their hosted VoIP services. Five-year-old TeleGea now has 15 mostly Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers for its products. The company recently announced two new deployment partnerships as well.
"We are at an interesting phase of growth and are moving on to the phase where we go out to get more help dealing with all the deployments," said Kevin Farrell, vice president of product management and marketing at TeleGea.
The company has done its own implementations to this point, priding itself on short deployment timetables. "We are not a 12 to 18 month deliverable; we are a 30 to 60 day deliverable for VoIP," Farrell said.
TeleGea’s VoIP Delivery Management Solution is pre-integrated with BroadSoft, Cisco Systems, Sylantro and VocalData solutions. It helps service providers manage and deliver IP Centrex and residential VoIP by managing provisioning environments and other business processes.
Farrell said his company specifically targets Tier 2 and Tier 3 service providers because "the surviving CLECs really have their act together" and that’s where the action is for hosted VoIP. Other customers include Broadwing, PennTelecom, SunRocket and North Pittsburg Telephone Company.
