The new service is called BINWAN for Business Interface for Web Access Network, and it will be available in Japan starting next week. System Seven allows access to corporate email, calendar, and personal and corporate contacts via most mobile devices or web browsers—eliminating the need use multiple device types for corporate voice and data services, and the need to switch device types just to support new corporate IT software.

Seven’s architecture also works with Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Domino, IMAP and POP email, calendar, personal and corporate contacts, tasks and documents.

DoCoMo follows carriers such as Cingular Wireless, Sprint PCS, Orange and O2, as well as a handful of Asian carriers, in adopting Seven’s software. System Seven is available in both an Enterprise Edition and Personal Edition depending on the size and pace of adoption for an organization.--Dan O'Shea
