Comarco targets UMTS testing
Comarco Wireless Test Solutions has added a UMTS drive-test capability to it Seven.Five RF scanning receiver, resulting in a testing tool that combines quality-of-service measurements from a user perspective with root cause analysis on the network.

Seven.Five for UMTS will be used by wireless infrastructure vendors and carriers during network deployment of UMTS technology, as well as ongoing optimization and benchmarking. Tests administered include voice, data and video quality-of-service tests.
The UMTS product was designed and manufactured in partnership with SwissQual AG of Zuchwil, Switzerland. It is availability six to eight weeks from receipt of order.--Dan O'Shea
