The NetEnforcer AC-1000 Series, which includes QoS, bandwidth and service level agreement management appliances, allows for QOS deployment at Gigabit wire speed with layer seven protocol classification and monitoring support for nearly 100,000 polices.

The new series lets customers monitor, classify and shape IP traffic, enforce QoS policies and manage SLAs for a variety of different traffic types, said Eran Ziv, president of Allot.

“You can make all kinds of rules depending on what you want to do with traffic,” he said.

The support for Gigabit throughput provides carriers with a rapid returjn on investment by allowing deployment in central hub locations and enabling them to divvy up services into tiers or provide usage-based billing.

“Not only that, we’ve partitioned the box into virtual boxes, we’ve given the control back to the end user,” Ziv said.
