The new solution collects data from disparate sources within the network using Brix’s suite of Verifiers (network probes) to identify and isolate problems related to voice quality and network quality of service in IP networks.
The VoIP QoS Manager provides a single view of service quality that includes connectivity, network performance and voice quality. The Brix solutions provide end-to-end voice quality verification that gets integrated into Agilent’s overall assessment. In addition to Brix Verifiers, which Agilent is reselling, Brix also will supply its central-site software systems and its advanced VoIP and video test suites.
To speed the process of trouble resolution, Agilent has determined the likely causes of network issues that cause voice quality problems.
“A well-managed VoIP network can deliver better voice quality than the PSTN. The key is to be well managed. That’s why being proactive is so important,” said Stefan Pracht, product marketing for Agilent’s telecom systems division.
As part of their arrangement, Agilent will become a reseller of Brix products worldwide.
