ADIR acquires NetSpeak; Armstrong Cable on VoIP track
ADIR VoIP Technologies, the Net2Phone spinoff, will acquire NetSpeak for between $46.5 million and $48.2 million in cash. Under terms of the merger agreement, ADIR will pay between $3 and $3.10 per share for all 15.5 million outstanding shares of NetSpeak. The combined companies will supply network management, call-control and application software for voice-over-IP networks run by carriers of all sizes.

Armstrong Cable Services is on its way to delivering high-speed data services and possibly voice over IP over its cable networks using broadband routing technology from RiverDelta Networks throughout its service areas in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Maryland, and testing equipment for future deployments as a carrier-class cable modem termination system.
