Telephony Launches Re-designed Web Site
The Award-Winning TelephonyOnline Provides New, Powerful Approach to Robust Online Content
Chicago, IL (January 24, 2005) - Telephony announced today the re-design of its award-winning Web site, TelephonyOnline (www.telephonyonline.com). The new site introduces clean features and content channels to better organize TelephonyOnline’s robust content and offers users quick access to the tools, research and information needed to keep pace with evolving and emerging industry technologies and trends.
“The new site design improves how we deliver the content and tools telecom professionals need to stay abreast of current developments and business strategies,” stated Mark Hickey, Group Publisher. “It also allows our advertisers to align their message with TelephonyOnline’s powerful, topic-specific content and more effectively target customers.”
TelephonyOnline is now organized around two primary content features: broader information channels called ‘News & Insights’ and technology-specific pages called ‘One-Stops’. The News & Insights section is organized by industry disciplines, including Technology, Finance, Marketing and Regulation and provides users quick access to breaking news, commentary, metrics and white papers. TelephonyOnline’s One-Stops pages focus on the technologies or services currently shaping the market and service provider networks. Content here is in the form of, news feeds, commentary, resource sections, white papers and metrics and span a range of issues facing today’s industry, including: VoIP, FTTP, Access Technologies, Wireless, Broadband Services and Software/OSS. New One-Stops will be added to the site in step with market shifts and activity.
In addition, the new TelephonyOnline site now includes rich industry data – ‘Metrics’ – and a new series of Webcasts from the editors of Telephony and Wireless Review called ‘Inside Telecom’. These content packages add dimension to the site content and topic focus. Industry projections and data are now centralized under the dedicated Metrics section, and can also be found throughout the site. The Inside Telecom Webcasts are easily accessed under the Tools section and from various points throughout TelephonyOnline. Making navigation even more efficient is the revamped site search engine that lets users conduct broad searches across the entire site or narrow the search by key areas, topics or date
Jason Meyers, Telephony'seditor-in-chief said, “One of Telephony’s strengths has always been the depth of its editorial – not just articles from the print publication, but all of the original online-only content. The new design allows users to take full advantage of our content-rich site by giving them a single access point to topical news, analysis, data, Webcasts and resources.”
Supplementing a number of enhancements to layout and design, the new TelephonyOnline provides advertisers powerful, flexible branding opportunities, including premium banner opportunities and sponsorships of One-Stops and Inside Telecom Webcasts.
“The new site design allows our advertisers to integrate their product into the overall layout and content of the web page. This kind of seamless ad placement ensures advertisers receive maximum impact with their marketing message,” said Hickey. “Our new online advertising and sponsorship opportunities along with Telephony’s weekly E-newsletters and Inside Telecom Webcast series, provides our advertising community powerful ways to reach service providers and generate leads for their companies.”
