(Chicago, IL) February 9, 2006 – Telephony, the leading publication for service providers, and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), owner and organizer of GLOBALCOMM™, today announced they will collaborate to produce a co-located IP Summit at the GLOBALCOMM 2006 event. Telephony’s IP Summit will take place at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL on Monday, June 5, 2006.
Spearheaded by Telephony’s editorial team, the IP Summit will deliver insight from leading service providers, technology vendor companies and some of the industry’s top analysts. Through technology and business tracks, informative keynotes and breakout sessions, Telephony’s IP Summit will dissect IP-based communication services to provide perspective for service providers. This conference will also feature separate program tracks exploring Wireless IP, VoIP, IMS and IPTV.
“Service providers are laying the groundwork so that they can deliver an array of IP services in the future,” said Telephony’s executive editor, Vince Vittore. “This comprehensive conference will give providers inside knowledge about the applications, services and network infrastructure that will help them solidify their presence in telecom’s future.”
“Providing valuable and unique education that translates into real-time business solutions is a core benefit of the GLOBALCOMM event,” said TIA President Matthew J. Flanigan. “As a leading publication for communications service providers, the Telephony team is ideally positioned to present the IP Summit—a key component of the event’s overall offering.”
Telephony’s publisher Mark Hickey added, “GLOBALCOMM is an excellent industry platform, and we are excited to be partnering with them on Telephony’s IP Summit. This service provider-focused, comprehensive conference will provide insight on how IP technologies, applications and services are reshaping the service provider landscape.”
