Telephony & Wireless Review Name Prominent Industry Journalist Carol Wilson Editor-at-Large
December 6, 2004 (Chicago, IL) - Telephony & Wireless Review magazines, the leading publications for telecom and wireless service providers, have named veteran industry journalist Carol Wilson editor-at-large. Formerly the editor and news editor for Telephony , Wilson rejoins the editorial team in a senior and strategic editorial role. Wilson brings 19 years of industry experience in both print and online journalism, plus a proven ability to create content for electronic offerings and in-person events.
As editor-at-large, Wilson will have a leadership role in the development of online editorial efforts, expanded Webcast offerings, branded conferences and events, supplements and other special content projects. In addition, she will write news, technology and features for both print and online products.
“Carol's industry experience speaks for itself," said Jason Meyers, editor-in-chief of Telephony & Wireless Review . "She is an experienced publishing and industry professional who will contribute on the highest level to our products. She's also a superb and reputable journalist who adds to our editorial depth as we continue to expand our content in print, online and in person. We are all delighted she has rejoined the team.”
Wilson entered the telecom field in 1985 as news editor of Telephony and was editor of Telephony from 1988 to 1994. Wilson also was a founding editor of three significant publications, Inter@ctive Week, The Net Economy and, most recently, the online-only publication Broadband Edge. She began her journalism career as a sports writer for the High Point Enterprise and went on to cover business news, the arts, politics and higher education. She holds a BA in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
"Carol joins Telephony and Wireless Review at a very exciting time," said Group Publisher Mark Hickey. "Our award-winning publications, Web site and e-newsletters have enjoyed growing success.
