The combined company brings together two messaging vendors, though both approach the market from markedly different perspectives, said Krishnamurty Kambhampati, CEO and co-founder of uReach Technologies.
"If you look at Priority Call Management’s background they pretty much focused on the voice messaging side where we approach the market from a converged perspective," said Krishnamurty Kambhampati, CEO and co-founder of uReach Technologies.
Priority Call Management will contribute its ORYX product, which lets operators deploy enhanced messaging and calling applications from a single platform. The platform integrates service logic, voice resources, and call control with standard APIs. Indeed, much of the focus for the combined company will be on creating new applications that build off the message platform, said Mary Stanhope, general manager of Priority Call Management.
"The second phase of that sales cycle will be how we deploy it," she said.
Among Priority Call Management’s most widely deploy application is prepaid wireless, something uReach did not have before the acquisition.
