The company used the show to announce the it has joined the 3Com VoIP Solution Provider Program. And while CrystalVoice has been providing some software to niche services providers such as satellite-based carriers, Zola will set up a service provider vertical specifically to serve the market.

“We weren’t convinced we could go to the service providers last year,” he said. “That’s changed though.”

The company currently offers three implementations of its software including click-to-talk, a remote extension soft phone and an interoffice trunking solution. Among its service provider customers is one satellite provider that has been able to use the trunking solution to reduce the retail cost of its service from several dollars per minute to seven cents per minute.
