Adtran to beat estimates

Adtran announced that it its fourth quarter earnings per share will come in well above analysts’ estimates.

Assuming share dilution, EPS for the quarter will fall between 30 cents and 32 cents. Analyst estimates on First Call run from 19 cents to 23 three cents, with a mean of 21 cents.

The company also expects revenues of about $88 million for the quarter, which is on the high-end of guidance.

In addition to the high revenues, Adtran attributed the solid earnings to lower than anticipated operating expenses, a favorable product mix and product cost reduction.
