The vendor, which launched publicly in August, today named Stefan Beck its vice president of sales for the Americas as well as Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Beck previously worked for a pair of core router start-ups: Procket Networks, which was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2004, and Chiaro Networks, which went out of business in 2006. In their day, Procket and Chiaro both competed with Caspian Networks, a company founded by Anagran’s founders that applied the same “flow-based” routing technology to core networks that Anagran now applies to the edge.
Beck has also worked for IP-Unity--a vendor of media servers and applications that merged with Glenayre late last year--as well as Redback Networks--which was acquired by Ericsson around the same time--and Cisco Systems.
In a press release issued today, Anagran praised Beck’s experience penetrating established and emerging international markets while having “built strong Tier 1 and Tier 2 channel relationships.”
His previous experience most often found him in Europe and EMEA.
Anagran’s Web site currently lists job openings for regional sales managers in Dallas and Boston and for the U.S. Defense Department.
